tiny super sweet'fairy' bunting

I wanted to show you some super sweet fairy bunting
that my little human friend made us,
to decorate the fairy garden for a recent moonlit ball,
it was really pretty and added to the festivities beautifully!
  • Grab a length of embroidery floss and cut to desired length
  • leaving some length to tie up both sides
  • raid your japanese washi tape supplies
  • [or use plain masking tape and decorate the mini flags later]
  • cut each length about 10cm
  • fold both sides over the embroidery thread, and sandwich it in between
  • when it is folded flat you can then cut each rectangle into a triangle
cutting tape to desired length
folding in half equally over the floss
cut the rectangles into mini triangles

Hanging on the dragons roots.....

As you can see the journey up the coast was very pleasant,we stopped by a magical place called diamond beach,
The trolls were so happy to sleep in their basket again high above the sand and sea....
Some lovely human children helped us to finish our base, they have such long arms it makes tying hammocks a breeze....

What a great base,we stopped by to visit some relatives on the coast,we slept on the top of the silver pod, lined in petals,it was lovely listening to the sound of crashing waves, although I must say,we consumed more than our fair share of rum and cupcakes............oops..............

A great wharf,a nice safe port for the evening,King Neptune dropped by and lent us his little red wooden boat for the day...

day one.....a dangerous journey

The track was dangerous at times..
A few times I thought we were going to get buried in the huge sand dunes near Broken Head,NSW

Some local mermaids offered to share their dinner with us,
the coastline was so pretty along the way..what tourists we are...
My cousin Gus loved this place so we stayed overnight, the moss was so soft to sleep on...
nothing like a restful nap by a rock pool along the way....we grabbed  naps where we could on the journey...
At night,we hung our hammocks  high in the trees so wild animals wouldn't eat us!
A Dangerous journey indeed getting to our destination,
however what fun we will have eating, laughing and being merry with our good friends in Byron Bay
until tomorrow,

visiting the trolls...

I went to visit my old friend's the trolls today,
They have taken up residence in the giant palm tree,
It was too unpleasant under the rusty bridge,
foot traffic in the day kept them awake,
and the slugs at night would slime over everything,
including their hair!
"We were so lucky the human mum saw us all cold and naked near the tree and quickly crocheted up some pouch's for us to snuggle in and get us off the ground away from the slugs and bandicoots [that seem to think we are an edible treat]"
Come by my new store at madeit.com,

birdseye view of the village

Well hello there,
Rosiecheeks here,
I have just come back from an early morning stroll to visit the new trolls who have just moved into toadstool town, they have assured me that they won't cause any trouble and have taken up residence under the arched bridge

I do hope I don't hear of any incidents involving frightened fairy babies, too scared to cross the bridge,

I have included a birdseye view of toadstool town to help you get your bearings...
We are adding new things all the time and have just bought the surrounding woodland,
behind the pizza oven,
ready to expand our village

I finished my morning with a refreshing dip with silky the gorgeous mermaid,
[she makes my knees shake]!!!!
have a lovely day gnomeing around!!!

Today I went to visit my friend Rose,
she had made some cherry bomb cupcakes filled with jelly and fresh lilac tea
Rose and the fairies have been extending their house this summer,
the weather has been so hot they decided to ask the local mermaids to help them find a pool,
and they found a great scallop shaped one that has provided hours of joy when their wings begin to wilt and its just too hot to fly
Some tropical fairies sent down some old sea washed coral on the back of a whale,
perfect as stepping stones and some craggy seating around the pool...
